Julia has always been an avid fitness enthusiast, having studied personal training and yoga for many years.  However after suffering a debilitating personal illness she found her previous fitness regime unable to counter the atrophy and weight gain the illness caused.  Julia began taking Pilates and quickly noticed the beneficial effect it had on strengthening her muscles and toning her body. Julia was so impressed with the results of the Pilates Method she said decided to open her own studio to spread the word.  Julia has been certified in the Pilates Method by renowned instructor Barbara Wintroub of Retrofit Pilates in Santa Monica, California. In addition to her ongoing Pilates studies, Julia is currently attending UCLA where she is pursuing certification in Fitness Instruction.

 



Heather Ann Smith

Heather  was first introduced to the Pilates Method in college to help in rehabilitating a ballet injury.   Enamaored with the results the Pilates Method had on her recovery; Heather began to study in earnest and acquired her official Pilates certification at Retrofit Pilates in Santa Monica, CA.  She continued to train and familiarize herself with prevention and post rehabilitation methods.  Heather's previous professional dance training combined with her knowledge of the Pilates Method, gives Heather a unique insight into the essentials necessary to awaken one’s body and provide them with a flexible, strong, and leaner physique.
